9 oz. vermicelli
2 T butter
2/3 cup parmesan cheese
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 lb. browned ground beef
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 can (8 oz.) tomatoes, cut and undrained
1 can (12 oz.) tomato paste
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. oregano
5 oz. grated romano cheese
1 lb. grated mozzarella

Cook pasta; add butter, eggs, parmesan cheese and shape into crust in 2 - 8 inch greased pie pans. Brown beef; drain. Add sauted onion and green pepper, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and oregano. Combine romano and mozzarella cheeses. Sprinkle 1/4 of cheeses in crust; put in meat-tomato filling. Add remaining cheeses on top. Cover loosely with foil. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. May be made ahead and frozen. Thaw and bake until heated well; about 1 hour.
