2 cans 16 oz each of pitted sour cherries
1 1/2 cup of cherry juice saved from cans of cherries
1 1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 Tbs cornstarch
2 Tbs butter
1/2 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Drain juice from cherries and measure out 1 1/2 Cup juice. Sift sugar, corn starch, and salt
mix with the juice, place mixture on a double boiler and cook for 5 min to thicken, stir to prevent sticking. add the butter and almond extract. Remove from heat, Add the cherries, pour into pie shells and add top crust, sprinkle the top with 1 1/2 Tbs sugar.

Bake at 400 º....45 min watch it , don't let it burn
