12 c. milk
9 oz. good quality white chocolate (such as Lindt or Baker's), chopped
1 c. red-and-white-striped candy canes or hard peppermint candies, crushed if possible
1/4 tsp. salt
Whipped cream
Additional crushed red-and-white-striped candy canes or hard peppermint candies

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring milk to simmer in heavy large saucepan. Reduce heat to med-low. Add white chocolate, 1 c. candy and salt; whisk until smooth.
2. Ladle hot chocolate into mugs, dividing equally. Top with whipped cream and additional candy. Serves 12.
