2 1/2 cups water
2 1/2 cups vinegar
1/2 cup salt (pickling)
1 tsp. alum
dill
garlic
onion

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the above. Wash cucumbers. Slice or leave whole as desired. Put 1 head of dill in bottom of jar. Pack in cucumbers and another head of dill, 1 slice onion and 1 clove garlic.

Pour boiled mixture over and seal.

Message from Mom: We like the real small pickles the best for this recipe. I used a little less salt.
