2 thin slices of lemon
Angostura Biltters
1/4 oz of water
1 sugar cube
1/3 c Small Batch Bourbon
1 big ice cube

Directions:
Prepare an old fashioned glass with 1 big ice cube (king cubes make great square ones). Take one slice of lemon and rim the glass with the juice.

Meanwhile, in a cocktail shaker place sugar cube and drip 2-3 drops of bitters on top of it. Pour the water on top and muddle them together until the sugar is dissolved. Pour bourbon in the shaker, top with extra ice cubes and STIR.

Strain the bourbon mixture over the large cube of ice in the old fashioned glass. Take the second slice of lemon, twist some of the juice into the glass, drop the slice into the cocktail and drink!

Erik and I did a lot of research on old fashioned cocktails and found that the earliest versions of this drink did not have orange or cherries in it. This is our take on a classic!
