2 to 3 bunches of broccoli (4 cups), cut into small florets
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 small red onion, finely chopped
10 to 12 slices of bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. white or cider vinegar
1 to 2 shakes garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine all the salad ingredients. Dressing: In another bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Toss dressing with salad. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Try the salad after it has been refrigerated for 1 to 2 hours to determine if more vinegar, mayonnaise or sugar is needed.
