½ c packed light brown sugar
3 T butter
½ t vanilla
1 T heavy cream

Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until mixture comes to gentle boil. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon hot glaze over still hot-from-the-oven cake.
