1-2 lb stew beef or if using Chicken 1-2 lb Chicken wings.
1-onion
4- pcs celery chopped
1-2 cups water
3-potatoes quartered
3-4 carrots chopped
1-2 turnips quartered
1-lg can of whole or diced tomatoes
1/2 small head cabbage
1-small can V-8 juice or if using chicken add small can Chicken Broth

Directions:
Directions:
Place Beef or Chicken in crockpot with onion, celery and water. Cook on HIGH for about 2-3 hours. If using chicken remove and debone before adding additional ingredients.
Add remaining ingredients except cabbage. Turn Crockpot to LOW.
About 1-2 hours before time to serve add cabbage then turn crockpot to High. May need to add additional liquid if too thick.

When I use beef I will add a beef soup bone for first 2-3 hrs of cooking then remove. I will also for additional flavor add a pkg of Beefy Onion dry Lipton Soup with a cup of water when cooking with the beef.
