1 C. bran
2 1/2 C. whole wheat flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. sea salt
3/4 C. vegetable oil
3/4 C. corn syrup
1 egg
1 C. milk
1 C. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients and liquid ingredients separately. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients and mix. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at moderately high temperature (375º) for 50 minutes.

Even back in the 60s I was concerned about healthy eating. I made this bread often as a young bride, and really enjoyed it. Don't remember where the recipe came from.....
