Pineapple Gingerbread Recipe

1 1/2 T butter
2 cup pineapple, drained
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup molasses
4 T shortening
1 egg

Melt butter and add brown sugar, stir smooth and add pineapple. Keep warm. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour into 9 x 13 pan. Top with butter, brown sugar and pineapple mixture. Bake at 350 until done.
