3 tbsp. oil
1 lb. fresh broccoli florets
1/4 cup beef or chicken stock
cooked rice

Marinade:
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. sherry
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch

1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup beef or chicken stock

Directions:
Directions:
Slice flank steak into thin slices, cross-grain on a slant. Marinade: Combine all the ingredients together and pour over beef; marinate for 30 minutes. Cut broccoli florets into bite-size pieces, wash and drain. Gravy: Combine all the ingredients together. Heat wok until smoking hot, add 3 tablespoons of oil, add beef and stir-fry until barely done, take meat out, leaving oil in wok. Add broccoli and stir-fry until all broccoli is coated with oil, about 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup soup stock; cover and cook 3 to 4 minutes. Pour in the stirred gravy, cook until thickened; mix well with broccoli. Add beef, toss a few seconds, remove to platter and serve with cooked rice.

Personal Notes:
Another wonderful recipe from my Chinese cooking instructor, Sophie Chin. You can add 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger to the marinade, if desired. A great way to get your family to eat their broccoli. It worked for mine!
