Microwave Caramel Popcorn Recipe

4 quarts popped popcorn (1 c. unpopped)
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. soda
Paper bag sprayed with non-stick cooking spry

Directions:
Directions:
Bring brown sugar, corn syrup, and margarine to a boil. Add soda and stir well. Pour mixture over popped popcorn in paper bag. Close top of bag and place in microwave. Cook on high 1 1/2 minutes; shake. Cook 30 seconds, shake again. Cook 1 1/2 minutes - shake. Cook 30 seconds remove from microwave and shake again. Allow to cool. Shake bag to break popcorn into cluster and serve.

Mom was not happy when Dad gave her a microwave for Christmas one year. It took her awhile to learn how to use it, but it soon became a necessary kitchen appliance. She got this recipe from Grandma Mary Alice Slade and we enjoyed eating it.
