5 pounds (about 5 cups) of apples peeled and cut in pieces
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:

1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 pound (2 sticks) cold butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

In a large bowl, place apples sugar and cinnamon and combine. Place in baking dish (9x13 or dish of your choice).

In another bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, oatmeal and butter. Mix with fingers or two knives until mixture is well mixed and butter is the size of peas.

Sprinkle topping over apples in baking dish, completely covering apples.

Bake one hour until top is golden brown and apples are bubbly.

Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
