1 quart ripe strawberries, mashed
4 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 box Sure Jell fruit pectin
4 plastic containers

Directions:
Directions:
Mix strawberries and sugar together and let stand for 10 minutes; stir occasionally.
Bring water and Sure Jell to a boil in a small sauce pan on high heat, stirring constantly. Continue to boil and stir for 1 minute. Pour over fruit mixture and stir for about 3 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.
Fill the containers quickly up to 1/2 inch of the top. Cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Jam is ready to use.
You can refrigerate up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 1 year; thaw in the refrigerator.
