1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine chocolate chips, nuts, cinnamon and 1/4 c. sugar; set aside.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Combine sour cream and soda. Cream butter with 1 c. sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture. Spoon half of the batter into greased 9x9" pan, top with half the chocolate chip/nut mixture, carefully spreading with a spatula to form a smooth layer. Repeat layers. Bake at 350º for about 30-35 minutes, or until it begins to pull away from the sides. Cool in pan and cut into squares.

Mom got this recipe from the back of a sugar package, and it was something we had every General Conference weekend when we didn't have to rush to get ready for early morning meetings.
