Yams
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. water
marshmallows (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Boil yams in salted water. Cool. Peel and slice in 1/2" thick slices. Place in casserole dish and sprinkle a pinch of salt on top. Pour sauce over yams. Sprinkle with marshmallows if desired. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

For sauce: Combine ingredients in a saucepan, simmer until thick (almost soft ball stage). Pour over yams.
