1/2 cup olive oil
2 small onions, finely minced
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
2 stalks celery, finely minced
2 carrots, peeled and finely minced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup red wine
2 (32-ounce) cans crushed San marzano tomatoes
2 dried bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
In a large sauce pot, heat the oil over medium. Add onions and garlic and saute until the onions are translucent, about 10 minutes. Add the celery and carrots and 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Saute another 10 minutes. Add tomatoes, wine and bay leaves. Simmer uncovered over low heat until the sauce thickens, about 1 hour. Remove and discard bay leaf.
