Portuguese Soup Recipe

6 cups chicken stock or canned broth
1 lb. smoked kielbasa sausage, diced
1 lb. potatoes, boiled, peeled, diced
15.5 oz. can kidney beans, drained
14 oz. can diced tomatoes
1/2 medium head of green cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large carrot, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; stirring occasionally, simmer until thick, about 2 hours. Season with pepper.
