Broccoli about 2 lbs
1/2 cup butter
1 med onion
3 cups chicken broth
3 cups milk
1 cup half & half
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 can cheddar cheese soup

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in Dutch Oven. Grate onion into butter and simmer for 20 minutes. Cook broccoli for 3 minutes in salted water. (I steam in microwave.) Drain broccoli and add to butter and onion, cook for 10 minutes. Sprinkle flour over this and stir. Add milk and broth slowly and bring to a boil. Add soup and seasonings. Add cream last...DO NOT BOIL. Heat to serving temp.
