"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

1 1/2 cup margarine
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3 T powdered sugar

Directions:
Cut and mix flour, margarine, and salt as for pastry; add the slightly beaten egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla. Mix thoroughly; form into one large ball; cover and chill thoroughly.

Cut the ball into 8ths; work with one piece at a time, keeping the rest refrigerated. Roll each piece into a circle on a board dusted with confectioner' sugar. Brush circle with the egg whites that have been beaten with 3T confectioners' sugar and vanilla; sprinkle circle with cinnamon and sugar.

Cut circle into 6 or 8 wedges. Roll each wedge from outside to the center, place on lightly greased cookie sheet; brush again with egg white mixture. Bake at 400 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. This makes a large batch. These will freeze.
