1 lb. butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs
1 tbsp. whiskey
7 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and oil until creamy. Beat in eggs and whiskey; mix well. Sift flour with baking powder and add to the above mixture alternating with the milk. Remove from bowl. Knead slightly, gradually adding more flour if needed. The dough must be soft, but not too sticky. Form dough into ropes six inches long and twist into figure eight shapes. Brush with egg yolk and bake in a preheated 350º oven for 20 minutes.

These are very traditional Greek cookies. They are not overly sweet and are great to dunk in your morning coffee!
