3 tbsp. bacon or sausage grease (always save your grease from bacon or sausage in a container in the fridge for gravy)
1/2 c. flour
1 pt evaporated milk
1 pt water
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix evaporated milk and water and sit aside in bowl. Heat grease in pan (preferably cast iron) over medium high until sizzling. Add flour and liberally season with salt and pepper. Stir constantly until flour begins to brown. Gradually stir in the cream mixture. Stir constantly, scraping bottom of pan often, You ma add more salt and pepper if needed during this step. Stir until thickened, Then immediately transfer to a large bowl. If you leave your gravy in the hot pan it will thicken beyond desired consistency. Serve over "Nanny's Famous Biscuits".
