4 c. sliced fresh peaches
2 c. water
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. flour
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. thin cream (half and half)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook mixture of peaches, water, and 1 cup sugar together until it comes to a boil. Pour mixture into an 8 x 8 x 2 baking dish. Prepare a batter of flour, the rest of the sugar, baking powder, salt, and cream. Pour over the pot peaches. Bake in a 350º oven for 30 minutes.

This recipe is in memory of my grandma, Mary (Schmidt) Krause. She went to St. Paul's in Beatrice. I would beg her for this as a child.
