2 pounds pinto beans dry
1 pound ham cubed
2 each onion diced
½ cup chili powder
4 cloves garlic minced
2 each jalapeno chile peppers seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
2 each bay leaf
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Put beans in large container and add enough water to cover by 3 inches. Let beans soak
in refrigerator overnight. Drain water.
Put beans in large pot and add enough water to cover by 2 inches. Add all remaining
ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer until beans are tender and
liquid thickens, stirring frequently, about 1 to 2 hours, adding water if the beans get too
dry. Discard bay leaf. Season beans with salt and pepper. Sprinkle on chopped cilantro.
Serving Ideas: Serve the dish with sour cream if desired.
