2 c. (12 oz. pkg) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
2/3 c. (5.3 oz. can) evaporated milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Combine chocolate chips, cream cheese and evaporated milk in medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and 1/2 tsp. almond extract. Blend well and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in large mixer bowl; blend well with mixer until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press half of the mixture in a greased 13 x 9 " pan. Spread with the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the crumbs over the filling. Bake at 375 for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
