1 egg
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup liquid shortening
1 cup molasses
1/2 cup cold water
1 T vinegar
4 cup flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
current jelly

Directions:
Directions:
Mix soda with flour, then add remaining ingredients. Chill dough, form into balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Press flat with glass. Place jelly in center if desired. Bake at 325º for 10-15 minutes.
