1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar, butter, shortening and eggs. Sift together the flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix until well blended, then chill for about an hour. With a teaspoon form the dough into balls the size of small walnuts and roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
