6-7 doz clams
1 small onion sliced
1 stalk celery, including leaves
1/4 c fresh parsley
2 c water, white wine or beer
2 Tbsp margarine or butter
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse clams to remove sand. Put in large kettle with remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, cover and steam until clams open, about 6-10 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open. Strain broth and serve with clams.
