1 1/4 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups Kellogg's Bran Buds cereal
1 1/4 cups milk
1 egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt and sugar; set aside. In another bowl, add Bran Buds cereal and milk; stir to combine. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Then add the egg and oil; beat well. Add the dry ingredients into the cereal mixture; stirring only until combined. Portion batter evenly into 12 paper-lined muffin pan cups. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.

This bran muffin recipe was all the rage in the 1970's. They were quick to make and tasted delicious. Mom would often change-up the recipe by adding raisins and a pinch of cinnamon.
