1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 egg yolk
3/4 cup sour cream

Filling:
1/2 cup any jam or preserves
1/4 cup pecans, chopped

1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar

Directions:
Cut butter into small pieces. Add to a bowl with the flour in it. Blend until it resembles coarse meal. In another bowl, add egg yolk and sour cream; mix well. Add to flour mixture, a little at a time, until dough forms. Put on floured board and knead for 1 minute. Cut dough into 3 pieces. Make a flat patty out of each one. Wrap individually in waxed paper. Store in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours. Roll each patty into a 13-inch circle. Cut into 12 pieces, like butterhorns. Filling: In a small bowl, combine jam or preserves with pecans. Place a scant teaspoon of filling on each triangle; roll up, curling edges in slightly. Pinch side edges a little as you roll to keep filling in. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Be careful not to overbake. Sift powdered sugar on top.
