1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. almond extract
2 cups sifted flour

Filling:
1/2 cup margarine
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Shell: Mix the margarine and sugar. Stir in egg yolks, almond extract and flour. Press evenly into tiny tart shells or muffin cups. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove and set aside. Filling: In a saucepan, bring margarine, dark corn syrup and powdered sugar to a boil. Stir in chopped pecans. Spoon into shells. Top with pecan halves. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 5 minutes or until firm in the middle.

This is a very old recipe. These tartlets resemble mini-pecan pies. It is very different from other pecan nut cup recipes in this cookbook. Which one is better, it's hard to say!
