2 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
4 eggs (divide yolks from whites)
2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tbsp. butter (melted)


Directions:
Directions:
If you don't have cake flour then sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda, set aside. In one bowl put the egg yolks and add the buttermilk, melted butter and vanilla, whisk together. To the egg whites add the cream of tartar and beat until soft peaks form. Mix together the flour mixture and the egg yolk mixture until blended, then fold in the egg white mixture.
