1 tbsp. butter
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
15 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and chocolate in the top of a double boiler (I use the microwave). When melted, remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk and eggs. Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Drop one tablespoon of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake in preheated 350º oven for approximately 15 minutes.

This recipe was featured in the Denver Post in 1954. All homemakers in the Rocky Mountain Empire were eligible to enter and the prize was $1.00. They are densely packed with rich chocolate flavor!
