6- green peppers
5- cups boiling salted water
1-lb. ground beef
2- tbsp. chopped onion
1- tsp. salt
1/8- tsp. garlic salt
1- cup cooked rice
1- (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 350º. Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper. Remove all seeds and membranes. Wash inside and out. Cook peppers in boiling salt water for 5 minutes, drain. Brown ground beef and onions. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice and I can tomato sauce. Heat through. Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/2 cup of meat mixture. Stand peppers upright in ungreased 8 x8 x 2" pan. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers. Cover bake for 45 minutes.Uncover and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
