Crust:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cups flour

Filling:
3 cups rhubarb, cut into small pieces
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 eggs
dash of salt


Directions:
Directions:
Crust: Mix all the ingredients together and press 3/4 of the mixture into a 9x12-inch pan. Filling: Spread rhubarb over the crust in the pan. Mix all the remaining ingredients and cover the rhubarb with this mixture. Top with the remaining 1/4 of the oatmeal mixture. Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 45 minutes.

This recipe is much easier than making a rhubarb pie and tastes just as good. So when mom had an abundance of rhubarb from her garden, we knew what to look forward to for dessert!
