2 lbs. ground beef
3 pkgs. Lawry's Taco Seasoning
1 small onion, chopped (optional)
1 1/3 cups water
15 oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 tomatoes, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup Nacho Cheese Flavored Doritos, crushed
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 head of lettuce, cut into bite-size pieces
1 cup Miracle Whip

Brown ground beef; drain fat. Add chopped onion, if desired; cook until tender. Mix two packages of taco seasoning into ground beef, add water and cook until absorbed. Put ground beef in a large salad bowl, top with kidney beans; let cool. Add chopped tomatoes, cheddar cheese and lettuce. Put Doritos in a baggie and crush into bite-size pieces. Add the third package of taco seasoning to 1 cup of Miracle Whip to taste; adding more seasoning if you like it more spicy. Add dressing to salad, mix and enjoy!

This is a great party dish. Last time I made the salad my husband asked me to add this to his Top Ten List of foods to make. I'm sure it will top your list too!
