1 stick oleo
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco or oil (I use oil)
2 c. flour
2 dc. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bring oleo, water, cocoa, and oil to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients.
Then add: 1/2 c. buttermilk, 2 eggs, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. vanilla. Mix and pour into jelly roll pan. Bake 20 minutes in 400º.
Frosting:
1 stick oleo
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix well and spread on brownies. Either put on right from oven or cool brownies then spread frosting.
