Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 package caramel candy (individually wrapped)
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 package German chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Unwrap the individual caramels - WITHOUT EATING ANY! Kids love to
help with this step, but you may need to buy extra for snacking.
Melt caramels in double boiler or microwave. (Microwave at 30%
power or on defrost setting for 4 minutes at a time until the
caramels are melted.) Add 1/3 C. evaporated milk. Stir until smooth.
Separately, mix German chocolate cake mix and 3/4 C. melted butter
and 1/3 C.evaporated milk, optional.
Flour and grease pan, or spray with Pam.
Press 1/2 batter on bottom and bake for 6 minutes at 350 Degrees
F.
Layer caramel, chocolate chips and nuts and crumble remaining
dough on top. (No matter how tempting, do not sample the melted
caramel, because it is VERY hot and will stay hot on your tongue
and BURN. Trust me on this, I know.)
Bake at 350 Degrees F. for 15 minutes.
Let partially cool and cut into servings. If you're in a hurry,
you can cool this in the freezer.
