1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked
2 tsp. butter
2 tsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
1 c. Gruyere cheese or sharp cheddar cheese
1 c. Velveeta cheese
1/4 c. parmesan cheese
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 2 tbsp. of butter over low heat. Blend in flour, seasonings. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Add cheeses, stir until dissolved. Remove from heat and pour over cooked macaroni.

Melt 1/4 c. butter in skillet. Add 1/2 c. bread crumbs, fry until golden. Sprinkle over top of mac and cheese.

Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.

I always add in about 1/4 c. of minced dehydrated onions to mine. I'm not sure if Mom did or not. Mom used the Gruyere cheese in her recipe.
