1 tsp unsalted butter at room temp.
1/3 c granulated sugar
1 c 1% milk
2/3 c all purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 large egg whites
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp almond extract
2 c pitted sweet cherries
1 1/2 tsp confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat an 8 in square baking dish with butter or margarine and dust with 1tsp of granulated sugar. In a blender, combine remaining granulated sugar, milk, flour, eggs, egg whites, and vanilla and almond extracts. blend until smooth. Pour half of batter into prepared baking dish. Add cherries and pour in remaining batter. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until clafouti is puffed, browned, and firm. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. Dust confectioners' sugar over top.
