3 ounce box of orange jello
! cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
4 ounces Cool Whip
2 small cans of mandarin oranges, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Add orange jello mix into the boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate until it starts to thicken (about an hour). Beat at medium speed in a large bowl until foamy. Stir in the cool whip. Pour into a serving bowl and add mandarin oranges. Push down into the jello mixture. Cover and refrigerate.

I have a thing about jello salads. They seem like a non-food, and definitely NOT a salad. But it was a popular dish when I was growing up and I have to admit that I occasionally long for this particular sweet treat. Marshmallows on top??
