1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
2 cup sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. soluble coffee
3/4 cup milk

MOCHA COCOA ICING:
2 tsp. soluble coffee
1/4 cup hot water
1/4 cup butter
2 T cocoa
3 cup sifted confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, sugar, eggs, and salt. Sift together the flour , baking powder, and coffee. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk; beat until smooth. Pour into 2 pans and bake at 375º for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and frost with Mocha Cocoa Icing.

MOCHA COCOA ICING:
Dissolve coffee in hot water and blend in cocoa and butter. Stir in 3 tsp liquid and 1 cup sugar. Gradually add remaining sugar and liquid; and beat smooth and cover cake.
