1 1/2 Cups cracker crumbs (We use Ritz)
8 T. Melted Butter
1 Pint oysters
Dash of nutmeg
1/4 Cup Oyster Liquor (the slime around the oysters)
2 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cracker crumbs and melted butter.
Put thin layer of crumbs in bottom of baking dish.
Alternate layers of oysters and crackers.
Pour oyster liquor and milk over casserole and sprinkle with dash of nutmeg.
Top with more crumbs.

Bake at 425º for 30 minutes.

This is a Thanksgiving must have for Grandpa George Robey. Grandma always tried to talk Susan and Julie into watching how to make it so it wouldn't be left out after she was gone because Grandpa loved them so much. Somehow Susan has become the oyster maker for Grandpa now, gagging all the way. Oh, the things we do for family!
