1 T yeast
1/4 c water
1/4 c shortening
1-1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c mashed potatoes
1/4 c sugar
1 c scalded milk
3-4 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Measure out flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl and cut in shortening. Add mashed potatoes, beaten egg, milk and yeast mixture. Mix ingredients together and gently knead a few minutes until it develops elasticity. Raise about an hour. Punch down for 10 min. Roll out and cut with cup. Fold in half and lightly butter top. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 min or until browned.
