3/4 cup butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
Broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, etc.
1 cup flour
1 quart hot water
2 T chicken broth seasoning
1 tsp Accent seasoning (optional)
2 cups milk
2 cups half & half
Salt
Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a large soup pot. Add chopped vegetables. Saute and cover until tender - about 10 minutes. Stir in flour, add water, milk, chicken seasoning, and Accent. Stir well and cook until thickened. Add half & half and do not boil again. Season with salt and pepper. Just before serving, add a little rosemary, basil, nutmeg, etc. according to what vegetable is used.

(We like to use rosemary when we do cream of broccoli or asparagus)
