1 1-lb box powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/2- lb. butter
3/4 cup light Karo syrup
(no substitute)
1 can eagle brand milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and boil 12 minutes over medium heat stirring constantly.
Watch carefully-- it will scorch if heat is too high. Pour into buttered 8x8 or 9x9" pan. Let set overnight. Cut and then wrap in plastic wrap. Store in air tight container in a cool place.
