1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
2 cups sifted flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup sour cream
2 cups cashews

Frosting
1/2 cup butter
3 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
To make cookies, cream butter & sugar. Add all other ingredients, except nuts. After thoroughly mixing, fold in nuts. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookies sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool.

For frosting, in frying pan, lightly brown the butter, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add caramel, and vanilla—stir. Pour over powdered sugar and stir until smooth. Frost cookies.
