PIE FILLING:

3 eggs yolks
1 1/4 oz. can of Eagle Brand © condensed milk
1/2 c. real lemon juice
food coloring, if desired
9-inch pie shell

Meringue:
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/3 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients for the pie filling together and pour into the 9-inch pie shell. Bake for eight minutes. I prefer baking the pie shell a little before adding in the ingredients. Take out of the oven and cool. Make sure the oven is set for 350º.

For the Meringue, mix all of the ingredients together and beat well until it comes to a peak and is able to stand up. Spread on the cool pie and bake until it becomes light brown.
