106 oz. can crushed tomatoes in puree
22 oz. chicken broth
24 fresh basil leaves, chopped
2 C. heavy cream or half and half
½ lb. sweet unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste

Combine tomatoes, chicken stock, and chopped basil leaves in stockpot. Simmer 30 minutes.
Add cream and butter, while stirring, over low heat.
