2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup melted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts

Cocoa Glaze
4 cup cocoa
1 1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Gradually add brown sugar to beaten eggs, beating thoroughly. Beat in
melted butter. Sift dry ingredients together and blend into egg mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in greased 9' square pan at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Top with Cocoa Glaze.

To make Glaze: Combine cocoa and sugar in small mixing bowl.
Place butter and water in small pan over low heat until butter is melted.
Then pour over cocoa mixture and blend thoroughly.

When I`m making these brownies, I always think of our friend Leona and her 3 little children in Sundance, Manitoba clambering onto the kitchen counter, helping Mommie bake, each having a turn to stir. This was in the years 1986 - 1990 when we were in Sundance, Manitoba.
